IFC Solve Microsoft Windows Problem

When Microsoft found they had a problem with their windows they turned to the experts - International Fire Consultants Ltd (IFC Group). In Microsoft's new offices in the Netherlands they needed evidence of performance to demonstrate that the fire resisting windows that they were installing had the required levels of fire resistance. As is often the case the basic steel framing system had previously been the subject of successful tests. Similarly, the glass had also been positively tested, but at a different size and in a different system. It was IFC's role to use expert judgement to establish that subject to some design considerations there was no reason why the windows would not provide the fire performance required by the regulatory authorities.

In addition to guaranteeing that they will provide the fire resistance, IFC are also confident that the windows will not turn blue and suggest that we have performed an illegal operation should they be subject to abuse.
