Our knowledge in acting for various component manufacturers also allows us to eliminate any unnecessary expenditure time and effort on proposed solutions that have already been considered in different environments.
Design support & advice, rationalisation of fire testing requirements
IFC are not a test laboratory and have no vested interest in increasing your testing costs. In advising manufacturers our role is one of trying to maximise the technical marketing and sales claims that could be made for a product for the minimum Research and Development costs. This is achieved by giving technical design support and project management to any fire tests that may be deemed necessary.
IFC also produce engineering assessments and “Field of Application” documents based upon your test evidence. Such documents contain full technical justifications to substantiate the fire performance claims for the products being sold. IFC are main contributors and authors leading the new European extrapolation and interpolation rules and protocols.
Third party supervision, project management and monitoring of fire testing
IFC provide independent witnessing and supervision of laboratory fire tests either, representing our client’s interest to ensure the laboratory performs correctly, or as impartial and independent observers. An increasingly popular service is our supervised webcam testing, which has proved very economical, saving time and money for our clients.
Interpretation of Regulations and Standards
IFC have a wide experience and understanding of the various Regulations and Standards, (both UK and Internationally) allowing us to advise clients upon the relevance of products, and their correct usage and specification.
3rd Party Certification
Our sistet company and member of the IFC Group, IFC Certification Ltd. is a UKAS accredited company providing customer focussed and technically founded schemes to the fire safety market. The company is a provisionally Notified Body for the Construciton Products Directive (CPD) CE Marking requirements.
